What Will You Learn
Week 1: Who Are You?
Everyone needs to learn about each other by learning some ways to introduce yourself and study Chinese Mandarin phonetics.
Week 2: When Do You Go To School?
Apart from introducing about your life, you have to describe your plan daily life. In this course, you can learn about how to describe your daily numbers, time and periods schedule.
Week 3: What Do You Like to Eat?
You have to learn about Chinese main courses, fruits, vegetables, meat and drinks until you can to say them in Chinese.
Week 4: I Like Shopping!
Shopping is a wonderful thing for everyone. You will learn about how to express color, size preference, price, and bargain in this part.
Week 5: Do You Live in a Big City?
You will learn how to give directions and speak about transportation in Chinese.
Week 6: How About the Weather?
You will learn vocabulary about weather, seasons and personal health.
Week 7: What is Your Hobby?
What do you like to do in your spare time? We have so many choices nowadays and lead such colorful lives. In this module, we are going to talk about weekday pastimes, sports, TV programs, and some other activities related to the internet, reading, music, and travel!
After completing this course, you will get some skills like grammar, speech, and communication in the Chinese language. You can select topics from real-life scenarios and used them for everyday communications. Besides, you can read materials and activities to stimulate the learners’ interests and this course is elementary on Chinese speaking.

She is an Associate Professor of School of Chinese as A Second Language, Peking University. Xiaoyu Liu is a bachelor’s degree in teaching Chinese at BLCU (Beijing Language University) and M.A. in modern Chinese at PKU.
